Solidarity pool
How it works
Every year, a cohort has its pool. Sponsors fill it pack after pack; associations can contribute according to their means, with no obligation or minimum. The sponsors are shown on the website, and each website starts when its funding is there: no threshold has to be reached before starting, but nothing is guaranteed either: the number of websites and their calendar depend on the companies that respond.
What it funds
Only direct costs: design and development days, hosting for the first year, training. No margin, no commission. The end-of-cohort report shows the use of every euro.
Why a pool rather than one sponsor per association
The pool guarantees fairness: the least known associations are funded like the others. An association sponsor can be more visibly associated with one structure, but its money serves the whole cohort.
What happens if the pool is not enough for every association?
Websites start in funding order; the remaining associations move to the head of the next cohort, and they are informed. If their calendar is pressing, they can switch to the Source Hub cohort or to a tier of the at-cost website ladder.
Can an individual contribute?
The program is designed for companies. An individual who wants to help an association does it better directly with it.
