Kern4Good, the impact hub of KERN-IT
KERN-IT is a Belgian software engineering company, in Brussels since 2012. Kern4Good is its impact hub: the same team, the same tools, put at the service of associations at cost. And a social sponsoring program that lets companies fund this work while gaining visibility that lasts.
What we do
A well-equipped association helps better. We remove two barriers to digital for associations: price, through at-cost work and the solidarity pool, and isolation, through cohorts that make five associations work together.
At cost means the price that covers the days of work and the hosting, with no margin or commission. It is well below the market because KERN-IT takes nothing on it and because cohorts pool the work. Prices are published on the Pricing page.
Digital, not only websites
The program tackles everything that touches the digital divide on the associations' side. It starts with what it knows how to deliver, and says so.
Today
- Websites, in a cohort or directly, at cost
- IT consulting: CRM, management tools, AI, on quote
- Training of the editors, included in the cohorts
With the next cohorts
- Cohorts by need: member management, management tools, AI assistants
- Trainings pooled between associations
- A collective of providers who bring reductions and days of work
A spin-off meant to become an association
Kern4Good is today a hub of KERN-IT SRL. It is a starting choice: begin with a team that exists, tools that work and a first cohort, rather than with articles of association and no website delivered. The program must first prove that it works: websites online, sponsors who come back, an end-of-cohort report that holds.
Once that is proven, Kern4Good will become an association, with its own governance, its members and its solidarity pool. What it will change for sponsors and associations will be said here, at that time. Until then, the framework is today's: KERN-IT invoices sponsoring as a visibility service, builds the websites at cost and publishes what it does with every euro.
Three publics, one solidarity pool
A website, tools, a training
Small and medium-sized Belgian associations with a clear societal goal. A sponsored cohort without budget, then four tiers at cost depending on the need.
